Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end.

Avec Muladona, RORCAL explore un territoire qui avait été laissé en friche depuis le Urfe de An Axis of Peridtion, avec un concept album de black metal évoluant autour d'un récit horrifique et qui a le droit à un narrateur — sauf que RORCAL est encore plus anxiogène en trois fois moins de temps. Muladona est un monstre hybride de post-black metal galopant prêt à vous écraser les tympans dirigé par une voix détachée, traumatisée — celle de l'auteur de Muladona lui-même. Une rencontre paranormale.
